Gerhard Schempp

Gerhard Schempp was born on August 12, 1951, at Blonhofen in Bavaria. From 1971 to 1976 he studied mathematics at Munich Technical University. Gerhard Schempp joined Softlab GmbH in 1977, where he was Industrial Systems Divisional Manager from 1981. In 1988, he started working at DIGITAL Equipment, latterly as Sales District Manager, Manufacturing South West Germany. In 1992, he joined Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he was Managing Director, CSC Deutschland GmbH and Chief Executive Officer of CSC Ploenzke AG from 1996. In 1999, he took over as Chairman of the Board of Management of ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH.
