ESG conducts fleet test for new Ford Fiesta
Company supports market launch of the new model with intensive vehicle tests.

In the next few months, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH will conduct a fleet test for the new Ford Fiesta commissioned by Ford-Werke GmbH. Several test vehicles will be stationed at Ford in Cologne and in the ESG test centre in Munich for this purpose. ESG will conduct intensive vehicle tests to verify that the electric and electronic components of the new car model function perfectly.
The test vehicles are equipped with extensive measuring technology. In two-shift operation, the vehicles will then be driven in normal road traffic. Various electronic system tests will be conducted according to a previously specified test schedule. ESG will then read and capture the data captured.
Hot climate and high altitude field tests were also conducted. The ESG testers examined how the new Ford Fiesta behaves in high altitude areas of the Alps and under conditions of extreme heat, like in the summer in southern Italy for example.
The fleet tests are part of Ford's quality strategy, through which the automobile manufacturer is able to guarantee that its electronics components function optimally.
