All activities in neighbouring country to be conducted through the firm's own subsidiary from 2009.

Furstenfeldbruck, 08 December 2008

ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH is reorganising its business in France. From 1 January 2009, all activities will be brought under the umbrella of the newly founded ESG France S.A.S. The new limited company will be responsible for all aviation business at the Marseilles base, and will serve as a holding company for ESG Automotive France S.A.S., the new organisation incorporating the former base in Paris and the ESG subsidiary Créalie S.A.

Up until now, ESG has been active in France through its bases in Marseilles and Paris, and also through the IT service provider Créalie, which was acquired in 2007. These will now be organised according to French law. ESG France S.A.S. will be led by Dr. Oliver Nass, who will be in charge of the "Automobil" section, and Phillipe Tavitian, who will be responsible for all activities concerning "Aéronautique". The ESG bases in Paris and Marseilles will remain as subsidiaries of ESG France S.A.S.

As well as being the centre of French politics, culture and economy, Paris also represents the heart of the automobile industry. In recent years, ESG France and Créalie have ear-ned a good reputation as authorities on IT and electronics for motor vehicles. Electronics development, testing and training, diagnostics, training and man-machine interfaces are just some of the strengths of these companies. Amongst other things, ESG has also built a training centre, from which it conducts all the technical training for Volkswagen France.

The Marseilles base was founded due to its proximity to French aviation and aerospace industries. The Eurocopter head office in Marignane lies just to the west of Marseilles, while Toulouse, home of Airbus and the aeroplane manufacturer ATR, is also in the south of France. There are also important aviation and aerospace companies in Valencia and Nice. ESG already works for Airbus in Toulouse, and is additionally seeking to strengthen its co-operation with Eurocopter, having already received the custom of Eurocopter Germany for many years.
