ESG to support Saxony-Anhalt in major IT modernisation project
Saxony-Anhalt plans to optimise its entire IT operations in the next four years.

ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH will be supporting Saxony-Anhalt in consolidating its entire IT operations. As part of this project, the system and software specialist ESG will provide different organisation and IT project management and controlling services. A corresponding basic agreement was signed at the beginning of this month effective until the end of 2012.
Saxony-Anhalt plans to optimise its IT operations in the next few years and to harmonise its heterogeneous data processing systems. In future, all IT cross-sectional functions for the whole state administration shall be handled through one central service provider. ESG will be part of this extensive modernisation project by offering, amongst others, services in project management, controlling and reporting, by optimising the operational and organisational structure, and providing training and various support services.
In addition to this, ESG is also involved as an independent consultant in numerous other major state projects. For example, the company is providing controlling services for the introduction of digital radio for authorities and organisations with security functions in Bavaria. Between 2004 and 2006, the ESG conducted an external project control for the introduction of the Austrian electronic health insurance card (e-card). Furthermore, ESG is currently working for the Federal Ministry of the Interior under a basic agreement for project management and controlling with the aim of implementing e-government in the federal administration.
