New faces in the ESG representations

Change to the management teams at the Berlin and Bonn liaison

Berlin/Bonn, 24 June 2008

The ESG liaison offices in Berlin and Bonn will be under new management from the 1st July, 2008. Fritz Thomsen is to take the place of the current Bonn representative Klaus Mertz, who is retiring this year. Over in Berlin, Frank Kleinkauf will be following on from Jochen Dietrich, who is also retiring from ESG due to his age.

The 60 year old retired colonel Fritz Thomsen will also be taking over management of the ESG liaison office administrative department. Thomsen joined the German Air Force in 1968 and worked as a pilot and trainer for the Starfighter F-104 and the Tornado fighter plane. His assignments took him to the USA, Great Britain, Turkey and Afghanistan, among other places. He retired from the Federal Armed Forces in the autumn of last year.

Frank Kleinkauf has been preparing himself for his new tasks at ESG since the 1st of January 2008. The 56 year old has a degree in telecommunications engineering and more than 30 years professional service in the ICT sector to draw on. Among other places, he has worked in Siemens AG, the NATO C3 Agency in Brussels and Sietec GmbH in Berlin.
