Simulation-supported training for the armed forces

From Tuesday at ITEC in Stockholm, ESG will be displaying solutions for training and instructing soldiers.

Stockholm, 10 June 2008

At the core of the ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH stand at ITEC 2008 are various systems for training soldiers to handle aircraft. The specialist trade fair for training, education and simulation in the defence sector will be taking place in Stockholm from the 10th to 12th June, 2008. According to the organisers, ITEC is the only trade fair of its kind outside the United States.

Visitors to ITEC who visit the ESG stand will be able to find out about a maintenance trainer for the TIGER support helicopter. Military maintenance personnel can use this device to practice maintenance and repairs on the helicopter. In addition to this, ESG will be presenting its solution for computer-based training for the EC 635 helicopter.

A simulator for the GRYPHON will be sure to draw a lot of attention. This is a wing made of composite materials that can be used to enhance military parachute systems. The simulator was designed as a developmental integration tool for the GRYPHON's flight control, including a head-up display, which can be used to gain an initial impression of the system's flight characteristics and to learn how to handle the system.

ITEC 2008 will be taking place for three days, starting on the 10th June 2008, in the Stockholmsmässan exhibition centre in the Swedish capital. You can find ESG at stand A121.
