Functional Development
Automotive customers associate brand with functionality. With advancing development these functions of a vehicle get more complex and multifaceted from model to model. This applies to comfort functions of the display-and operate range (e.g. board computer, head-up display), intelligent drive assistant (camera-based, cornering lamp), motor and undercarriage functions (e.g. consumption reduction, CO2 monitoring) to security functions.
ESG provides extensive process know-how in developing and implementing complex functionalities that require greater skills in communicating, expressing and handling functional requirements. By direct integration into the vehicle development process of our customers, ESG absorbs task like the definition of functional requirements and process mechanism as well as the independent operation of function development for vehicle derivative.
A model-based approach for the development of functions enables us to detect errors in the specification at an early stage in the development process. It also has potential for cost reduction through the evolutionary improvement of models and through automated code generation.
We further combine model-based development with automated testing. This provides a powerful and efficient collection of tools and methods, from test project management and systematic test case generation, right through to automated test evaluation and final test report generation.
