System applications
The increasing number of complex vehicle functions and control units is creating increasingly difficult challenges for vehicle diagnostics. Increasing complexity makes it more difficult to determine the causes of faults, and means that service staff need to be able to interpret the data they obtain from control units clearly. For example, if a control unit detects an engine or gearbox-specific malfunction or operating value, this in entered digitally into the control unit in question (e.g. diagnostic trouble codes). This data enables service staff to diagnose components, subsystems and entire systems.
ESG creates the applications for the diagnostic units in order to establish an interface between the control units and the diagnostic unit and present the information to the service staff in comprehensible terms.
