External Project Controlling

In order to recognise difficulties with complex public sector IT projects at the earliest possible opportunity and correct them using suitable controlling and risk management measures, we provide support as a neutral company with our “External Project Controlling (EPC)”. EPC guarantees the requirement and assessment ability of public sector clients in all phases of their IT project development.

EPC ensures the planned project progress regarding technical, time-related, qualitative and budgetary aspects. Risk management as part of EPC helps to detect impending project risks as early as possible, so that they can be kept under control by suitable counter-measures. Requirements management ensures the fulfilment of contractual requirements during the course of the project in the face of changing project content or technologies.

EPC does not just come into action at the beginning of project realisation, it is already used during the solution design, invitation to tender, award of contract and project initialisation phases.

Project reference “Introduction of digital radio for public security services in Bavaria"

Since 2007 ESG has provided external project controlling for the introduction of digital radio for public security authorities in Bavaria. The consultants track the project progress on the basis of an operating figure system with respect to time, functionality and quality. They also record, monitor and track the internal and external project risks (risk management) and provide the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior with regular reports on the current project status.
