MESIS
Web-based system for crisis management exercises
MESIS (Modular Exercise Support and Integration System) is an interactive, modular, web-based crisis management exercise system. It supports and enables interactive planning, efficient execution across different locations and evaluation of task force and decision exercises in the area of civil protection. All data such as events, start times, environmental conditions, expected and actual reactions, map/situation display are archived for training purposes and the preparation of further exercises. With MESIS different users independent of their workplace can be easily integrated into the exercise. Due to the exercise evaluation more experience can be gained and specific follow-up actions (e.g. training) facilitated.
MESIS is based on current results from the large exercises LüKEX 2004/2005 and on the requirements of public security and civil protection authorities.
