Interoperability
Networking command, control and tactical systems between all decision-making and command levels allows all procedures to be coordinated and increases effectiveness. With regard to increasing cooperation with different nations, the interoperability of our solutions with other systems is assured: Thus we provide a significant contribution to the success of joint & combined missions.
MIP: Multilateral Interoperability Programme
Germany and 28 further nations and organisations formed the Multilateral Interoperability Programme MIP with the aim of achieving interoperability between their command and control systems. ESG is main contractor for the conception and development of the German realisation of the MIP interface.
tacMIP: MIP for the tactical level
For the lower command levels we have developed the solution tacMIP. It significantly reduces the transmitted data volumes with optimised compression methods and with the help of operational data filters. MIP can therefore be used at a tactical level using narrowband communication networks.
ASCA: Interoperability for artillery systems
The interoperability programme “Artillery Systems Cooperation Activities (ASCA)” enables cooperation on a tactical level between the artillery forces of Germany, USA, Great Britain, France, Italy and Turkey. ASCA enables units to be commanded, fire requests and fire plans to be carried out not just across individual system boundaries but also across different mission procedures. ESG is contractor for the German realisation of the ASCA programme.
