Product support during the life cycle of complex technical systems
Since its foundation, ESG has been an established partner of the aviation and automotive industries in the area of technical/logistic services. Within the scope of product surveillance, we determine system weak points by analysing fault and failure data using our own specialist systems. We also use these findings in system life extension programmes for the purpose of generating technical modification concepts. In addition, we develop and operate obsolescence management systems to prevent the emergence of technical and environment-relevant obsolescence and reduce the complexity and cost caused by obsolescence.
In configuration management, we monitor systems down to individual component level and the implementation status of technical modifications. This enables our customers to optimise maintenance costs through the electronic verification of components, modules and subsystems as well as the electronically supported coordination of maintenance cycles. Moreover, in cases of damage, verification of security-relevant activities is possible.
In order to support effective maintenance, we operate comprehensive documentation systems. ESG is one of the leading providers of customised technical manuals and parts catalogues. Our IETD systems (Interactive Electronic Technical Documentation) are embedded on a modular basis in ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) systems. We have been highly successful on the market for a number of years with our IETD solutions and corresponding retrieval systems, which comply with international standards (CALS, AECMA 1000D, ATA).
