INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC TECHNICAL PUBLICATION - IETP
The technical documentation required for the operation, corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems is increasingly being created using modern information technology as "Interactive Electronic Technical Publication " (IETP). This improves the up-to-dateness of the documentation and reduces the operating costs of the technical systems. In addition, there is further potential for rationalisation by networking with other information systems, such as diagnostics (BIT/BITE) or material management for eliminating media faults.
The individual requirements of customers for IETP applications vary considerably. Within the framework of IETP creation ESG therefore offers a flexible service as follows:
- Conception and creation of Interactive Electronic Technical Documentation in current formats (SGML, XML)
- Conversion of existing documentation into IETP applications
- Carrying out the change service
- Integration of applications such as CBT or expert systems for diagnosis
- Development of user-specific IETP modules
ESG has developed its own documentation systems (e.g. QuILS, APART) for the provision of these services.
