Avoidance of obsolescence

The early recognition and planning of technical obsolescence can considerably reduce the operating costs of a system. Obsolescence can arise for example from changed legal regulations (e.g. hazardous substances, aircraft suitability, etc.), changed operational conditions of systems, technical ageing or discontinued production of spare parts.

ESG develops and manages its own obsolescence management systems and thus ensures cost reductions through optimised provision and standardisation of spare parts and the operational capability of systems.

In addition, ESG offers services in the area of hazardous substance management and supports the customer in the event of changed conditions in the areas of environmental protection, hazardous substances and work safety. For this ESG offers the following services:

  • Proposals and support services for the substitution of hazardous substances in the logistic process in the procurement, use, maintenance, change, storage, transport und disposal.
  • Set-up, filling and monitoring of specific equipment databases taking into account hazardous substance information.
  • Carrying out investigations and analyses of hazardous substances problems e.g. in the form of a study.
