Management of the German Air Force warehouses
For around 30 years ESG has been one of the most important logistics service suppliers for the German Air Force. The company centrally manages all the Air Force's spare parts in so-called federal warehouses ("Bundeseigene Lager", BELs) with the equipment industry.
The military maintains such storage facilities at over 50 equipment companies in Germany, which repair devices of the Air Force's airborne weapon systems. The firms make use of the stock in these storage facilities for their work. All spare parts are owned by the German Federal Armed Forces.
ESG has been contracted by the German Air Force to manage these federal warehouses. This includes the centralised establishment of spare part requirements and initiation of procurement. ESG ensures economically and optimally that sufficient equipment is always available, in order to maintain airborne weapons systems fully operational at all times.
With the help of its equipment management tool MDNpro ESG processes all transactions in the warehouses and offers the air force a total overview of the stocks and consumption. The Internet provides an online connection to all overhaul firms.
