ESG at ITEC 2011
ESG presents a Cross-Sectoral System Network using Virtual Reality.

At this year’s ITEC, ESG presents a cross-sectoral network of different ESG systems, which are operated within a shared tactical scenario: A personnel recovery mission must be carried out with a helicopter that is equipped with ESG’s Mission Tactical Workstation. The mission is supported by a UAS, which is operated by the components of the Manned-Unmanned-Teaming project. The additionally integrated joint command and control information system of the armed forces generates updated situation information for the individual “players”. Visitors to the ITEC have the opportunity of observing the system network in a joint scenario and the different views of the individual systems.
With this presentation, ESG demonstrates its performance capability with respect to the integration of individual systems. Of particular interest is the connection of simulators and operational systems.
ESG presents a fully functional solution for the area of networked simulation. Due to the integration of virtual reality software VBS2, a simulation network has for the first time been produced in a scenario derived from the gaming world.
